The Veterans Lounge runs entirely on raw volunteer grit. We have no massive executive payrolls; every veteran greeting at the desk, every dinner coordinator, and every trail marshal is a community volunteer.

After leaving active duty, the silence was absolutely deafening. I isolated myself in my basement for six months, spiraling rapidly. A buddy dragged me out to Thursday Vet Night. Walking through those doors, smelling the hot R&R BBQ, and hearing Marines laughing changed everything. I found my tribe again. The lounge saved my life, literally.
As a female veteran, it is incredibly difficult to find spaces where you feel completely understood without explaining yourself. At The Veterans Lounge, I am a peer. The premium co-working hub allowed me to launch my independent graphic design firm, and the group health/dental rates made going solo possible. This place is an absolute Godsend.
Retired and lonely in a completely new town, I was losing my edge. The Thursday Night Spades tournament and the mountain ruck training challenges gave me high-impact physical goals to work toward and younger veterans to mentor. The Veterans Lounge is where I realized that service never ends; it just changes form.
